Today Made-Craft launched an exclusive limited run of the iVictrola at Design Within Reach through their DWR Limited holiday program. This version features a solid walnut base with a black Magnavox horn. The 6 horns were produced and sold out by early afternoon. You can view the listing at the link below. The Nelson Office is one of the most well known houses in design history. George had a great knack for guiding his designers to achieve their full potential. Vitra recently hosted an exhibition about Nelson, and with much research we now know who many of his great designs are actually attributed to. Irving Harper is one several names, and seems to be responsible for executing graphics, furniture, lighting and most notably the famous Howard Miller line of clocks. Vitra has just re-issued some of my favorite Harper clocks known as the “Totem” clocks for their ability to stack on one another. They were crafted from ceramic and were battery operated just the same as they are today. Models 1, 2, and 3 are now available at
